Do Not Open This Book REVIEW BY Ian Banks Septem , am DO NOT OPEN THIS BOOK, whatever I say DO NOT OPEN THIS BOOK, is guaranteed to get every child doing exactly that, opening the book, and that is why Andy Lee has agreed to have more published that just the original single copy, simply to get every child who just happens to get. But he is constantly interrupted by the reader who is seduced at every turn into foiling his efforts ("please go away" "please do not turn the page") — until at last we reach the final page and discover that together, Pig and the reader have indeed created a book.

Children's Book Review – What I Thought. While I normally love to review children’s books, my feelings are mixed on this one. First, the beginning of Warning!Do Not Open This Book is oddly reminiscent of the long time favorite The Monster at the End of This Book starring lovable, furry old Grover.. In addition, the illustrations in the Warning!Do Not Open This Book story are done in dark.   Adam Lehrhaupt’s first picture book, Warning: Do Not Open This Book!, received the E.B. White Read Aloud Honor Award, was an ALA Notable Book, and a Huffington Post Notable Book. School Library Journal called it, “More fun than a barrel of monkeys.”He is also the author of Please, Open This Book!, which was named a Wanda Gag Comstock Read Aloud Honor Book and Idea Jar.

Using reverse psychology to dissuade/engage the reader and laugh-out-loud illustrations of protesting Pig, the author literally sucks your reader into the story, making her a character interacting in the plot. And, together with Pig, she'll ultimately get the book done. Fun Factor.

“Do not open this book”, by Michaela Muntean was a very differently styled picture book to what I am used to reading. The beginning started out with the main character, a pig, telling the reader not to open the book. What caught me off guard at the start of reading the book /5.

My grandkids enjoyed this book. The younger one (age 3) was fearful and didn't want me to open the book, but after we read it through a few times, he got the hang of it and enjoyed it. I'm still confused about how the "trap" at the end "works," but otherwise this is a fun book. Illustrations are 5 stars.

Get this from a library. Please do not open this book!. [Jon Stone; Michael Smollin] -- Grover worries page by page about meeting the monster at the end of this book. Do Not Open This Book is so,so stupid. If you rate this book a good 5 stars, you have been knocked in the head and lost your own opinion.

One reason not to read this book is it just begs you not to turn the next page. For example, it says "If you turn this next page you will regret it."/5(9). Open book tests teach you how to find information when you need it and under a significant amount of pressure.

Even more importantly, the questions are designed to teach you how to use your brain. And contrary to popular belief, you do not get off the hook when it comes to studying for an open book exam.I'll bet "Do Not Open This Book!" was read as many as 10 times in the last week of the tutor season!

I accidentally created a sensational run on this book. Each read with a student is enjoyable for all involved! Encore, encore, Ms. Cowley! Thank you!
